Sigiriya

Sigiriya is referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. It is considered a fortified palace complex constructed in 5000 BC by Emperor Lankeshwara rawana the sovereign ruler of Lanka who reigned in the distant past and governed the entire world while traveling through the skies in the " Dadu Monara ", the world's first flying machine.In addition to him, King Kuvera and later King Kashyapa I also utilized this palace. The ruins of a palace are situated atop the Sigiriya rock, while the Lion Gate, frescoes, and the Mirror Wall are located midway up the rock. Other significant features include the palace complex at the base of the rock, moats and ramparts, and gardens that extend for hundreds of meters from the rock itself.
